I did a lot of research on LCD tvs with the following criteria: Under 00, 46-52" and 1080/120. In the end, I went with the Samsung brand because its reputation for quality and I can't be happier with this model. I have DirecTV and the HD picture quality is incredible; it puts my 42" plasma 720 to shame. I have a blu ray player hooked up to it and regular non blu ray DVDs still look awesome. I told my wife that I couldn't believe they were regular DVDs. Watching from an angle didn't affect the quality either which was a concern with some of the tvs I looked at.

I agonized over this choice for a while but in the end I couldn't be happier. I'm tempted to replace my plasma immediately with this tv.

Great TV for the price, couldn't be happier - mtea -
Searched for a while to purchase my first LCD-TV. I am very happy I went with the Samsung rather than the Vizio as the quality of the build from an appearance standpoint as well as tv functionality and picture quality. If you are on the fence about this TV and it falls in line with your budget you won't be disappointed.
